I started my online business over 1 year ago, just to get some money to support my hobbies. I began the website, posted on many forums, got advertised, emailed potential customers and told friends. Since then i have only had a few clients. I decided to re-design my website and started ranging my work from logo design, to other 2d design and Web Design, and im wondering if any of you could give me tips on getting more business, or if any of you would like any of my services.

elusive-design.co.uk

As some of you might have seen, ive posted asking for reviews of my site elsewhere. Ive completed the latter part of the site. And just need to add small bits and pieces.

Good luck is all I can say. I've posted elsewhere that my fiancee tried to get a business like that up and running, with little success. I wish I could help you more!

Right now he works as a designer in a print shop. He does logos, forms, prints, posters, and maintains the company website. etc. But... the major difference is that he's associated with the company, rather than working solo. His solo business idea never did pan out, but he occassionally hears from his old clients, who want modifications to their old site or recommend him to a friend.

I've always kinda wondered what would happen if a bunch of web-designers, graphic artists, and the like got together and made a multi-media advertising and graphic arts business. Kinda like "Are you a new business, in need of advertising? You've come to the right place. We'll hook you up with a website, business cards, a logo, flyers, posters, customer service forms, whatever your business needs, and CHEAP. Contact so-and-so at this number, or email us at soandso@suchandsuch.com"

Yeah, good luck. I currently do freelance work as a Web designer and developer. It's very hard to compete with firms with many employees dedicated to design and development.
