Where to get this grav cms - https://getgrav.org/
Where to read about grav - https://davidwalsh.name/grav-building-fast-flexible-websites
After wrestling with the Drupal 8, it is time to call it a day for me. Do I need such big powerful huge cms for simple company websites? Maybe not. So search a bit on flat files and came across grav. No database required. So let's give it a go.
If you know of the disadvantages of flat file cms, do share your concerns while I waste my life experimenting on something I have no clue (note: did try flat files back in 2004-2007 but way too much work)
For those who have more patience and like to learn the "official" steps and details head over to - https://learn.getgrav.org/
update: first road block has appeared.
"'mbstring' extension is not loaded. This is required for Grav to run correctly"
update 2: Does flat file system really have a less steep learning curve compared to WordPress? Am beginning to struggle with all the new jargon like YAML, scalars, mappings, markdown, Twig templating, yeowzers!! But one must learn to be patient.
