I still play at medium, primarily because I haven't gotten used to the fifth orange button; I've pretty much mastered medium so I'll probably start practicing the next difficulty

I used to play a lot on hard and expert, but I haven't picked up my guitar hero guitar forever. I bought GH II, but I didn't like the song selection. I'm saving up for Rock Band though.

I am pretty good on hard on both GH2 and GH3, I really want to give Rock Band a try, I read some reviews and it looks pretty cool. I like the idea of having a bunch of instruments instead of just the guitar.

I have GH2 on 360

Its pretty fun. But its one of those games that takes LOTS of practice. I've just about mastered Medium, and will be trying to start with Hard sometime soon.

I've also played GH3 on 360. The GH3 guitar is MUCH better quality than the GH2 one. And the track listing has a lot more original songs rather than covers, which is nice.

If you don't mind spending hours and hours failing, and practicing loads, and like to think that you are playing a guitar, without actually having to, its a good game. its a good laugh at parties as well.

Otherwise... stay-away.

I've played GH3, thought it was alright, but never really got into it. Seriously I don't see what the big deal is about.

I've never actually played the game myself, but I have watched friends play it. Seems like a good game to play while you're waiting before you head out to go somewhere.

I just got GH2 and GH3 for Xmas and I've only played a couple times and that was for only a couple hours at a time but I've been getting up to Hard... it's getting hard with the orange key but i'm gettin it.

I wish they had some Jimi or some AC/DC that'd make GH even better.

Problem with getting Jimi Hendrix is that the people who own the rights to it know they can charge an arm and a leg for any lisence to use his music.

I really liked alot of the music on GH2, GH3 has some great stuff but alot of really really nauseating songs too. Also.... still trying to beat that Dragonforce song on medium even though I'm halfway through hard. =/

I own GH3, and I play on medium difficulty, which I am god at! My longest note streak is over 800 notes.

I can also play some songs on medium, but with the same skill I play with on medium. I aim to practise at the harder difficulties!

Guitar Hero II is great, especially cooperative mode...Expert is hard to get to, but it's the most fun because you play every single note.
