Halo Combat Evolved MP prob

hi i have a small problem a friend of mine wants to play a game of halo now and then, i can enter his hosted game but he cant join mine what could be the problem ? we both have the same version, both legit, all the required ports (80 TCP, 303 UDP) are open, halo isnt blocked by the firewall, im open to suggestions
