Oh Mr Johan Lorbeer you must be some super human with super human powers, looking at these pictures are mind blowing and yes bloody weird but brilliant. These still life Performance acts are hot and this one is called “Tarzan”, where the hell they got this name from is beyond me because I have never seen Tarzan do this. Check out the video bloody brilliant.

He'll either be suspended from a very thin wire attached higher up, or (more likely) .......

..... there's a rod coming out of the wall, going through his sleeve, & which is fixed to some sort of harness he's wearing under his clothes!

I've seen this before - the left arm you're seeing is fake. It's attached to the wall, and on the opposite side of the left hand is a harness that's wrapped around the man's body. His real left arm is down to his side out of sight.

That's a cool effect that he's done there. I've seen things like this before. When it comes down to it, it's easy to see if it's a very thin wire. What would really get many people is why when there are no wires that he'd be remaining there. Only solution to that is of course a fake arm.

Yes. Since I've only seen this video you've shown us here, I don't know what is visible, who the spectators are (they could be in on the trick) etc.

If you say that there aren't wires, then that leaves the other option I suggested as the most likely method.

Note: people saying that it has to be a fake arm : this isn't necessarily true. I agree that it is most likely, but it could also be a real arm, with a thin metal rod going up the sleeve as I stated. Either way, the supporting device will need to be attached to his body via a form of harness under his clothes.

Obviously, people who have seen this trick done elsewhere besides just in this video, have an unfair advantage in working out or knowing how it is done! ;)

Personally, I've never been that impressed by tricks & illusions because I usually have a good idea of how they could be done (I had a bit of a hobby doing them when I was a kid).

Now, if you want to see a vid of a guy who can hang off sky-scrapers for real, take a look here ;

:eek4::eek4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0wmLzS3dt4 :eek4::eek4:

Check out the sections where he climbs up sky-scrapers unaided. He often had to sneak on & make a quick start at the foot of the buildings, because he didn't have permission & he would get arrested when he got to the top/came back down again.

That takes a lot of skill, strength, & a whole heap of bravery/foolishness! :biggrin:

It's like the Chris Angel/Mindfreak stuff. At some point you begin to wonder if it was all just computer enhanced.

I know exactly how he does it (seen some pics of the device). Mark the text under if you want to know (colored white for them who don't want ;)).

That isn't his arm. It's a stick, and on the stick it's attached a backpack-like thing, which he is attached to.

Now that is amazing! I didn't see that one. That guy sure deserves a lot of credit for doing something like that.

I saw a TV program on him a couple of years ago.

I wonder if he's even still alive, given the dangers of his hobby!

(Check out some of the other YouTube vids on him <alain robert> while you're there. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes!)

well even if its a fake how come the the fake arm is holding him and even if its somthing like a metal holding him from his arm its not possible look at his feets its straight forward and if it was something holding him he wouldnt be hanging ther for hours and hours

who knows but personaly i dont think its a trick when i was a child i used to love magic tricks and still do and i had books of magic tricks and after i grow up then i bought black magic books to learn :lol:
Well obviously.

If you think that magic doesn't exist, then explain magic tricks!

there is a magic trick and there is a real magic tricks are not real they are illusions

and for the real magic some believe it some not but it exists if you dont believe in magic then you wont see it if you believe init then you will meaning if you want to learn real magic you have to believe init other wise it wont happen

lol. As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as magic.

http://www.freemagictricks4u.com/ exposes some of the tricks and fakes behind many popular magic tricks. While it doesn't directly address this one, it makes it helps trigger the imagination to figure out how these other 'magic' tricks were done with out magic.

But I think the fake arm theory is pretty good. Especially since looks bent too far up the arm. Maybe I'm just seeing things?

I'm still not convinced. Look how even his feet are. And, neither of his feet ever cross the imaginary boundary of where the ground would be if he was at ground level. You would think the strain of keeping your feet even and level for hours would be pretty intense. He's also not locking his knees, or at least keeping them straight, so again, he's putting in extra effort against "gravity."
