I currently own a laptop notebook but accidently spilled a drink on it (onto the keyboard part). Some ppl say there's a little metal thing between keyboard and the actual hardware so i don't have to worry, is this true?

Depends on the make of your laptop and the amount and nature of liquid you spilled.

its an HP zx5280us

and i spilled an amount on the keyboard around the "enter" button.
