Hello,

I have two free accounts set up at the moment - one for my personal website and the other for non profit group that I'm a part of.

For the last two days, the site has been completely unavailable. It is hosted on Cossacks.x10 which I know has had some problems lately, but I don't see anything in the forums showing that there is any problems.

I have kept my account up to date by logging into the forums for both accounts and according to the Account Management Panel, it is up and running and is not suspended. Unfortunately, I can't reach it via cPanel or ftp. I can't even post into the forums under the username I have setup for that account.

Can you please check it for me? My user name is netrc and my website is www.mtpleasantrc.com.

If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it!

Rob

You need to go into the config.php file and where it says "localhost change it to mysql.x10hosting.com .

Then on the main page of the cPanel scroll down and look for remote mysql and add as an access host this. %.x10hosting.com

You _are_ aware having two free accounts is against the TOS right?

I'm not even gunna try attacking the main issue right now; two free accounts is a no-no:

1. Server Usage
Personal accounts are to be used by the primary owner only. Personal account holders are not permitted to resell, store or give away web-hosting services of their website to other parties. Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to host content on the owner's web site. Exceptions to this include ad banners, classified ads, and personal ads. x10Hosting reserves the right to refuse service and /or access to its servers to anyone. Each individual is allowed ONE account only. x10Hosting does not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers:
Each individual is allowed ONE account only.
You might wanna have an admin fix that by terminating one of the accounts or you risk having both get suspended, which'll hurt more than losing one.

I'm amazed a x10 Worker or Owner (not sure) let that pass by.

But yea 2 free accounts is BAD, Very BAD.
The line before this is probably useless by now though, for I hope a x10 worker .. (what ever you a website person) would have sent you a warning or something by now.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that two sites was wrong. Not a problem, I don't mind removing an account or paying for an account. In the meanwhile, the main site I didn't want to loose is not available. I have already modified my files for the mysql move last week. I can't do much with the site as it is because I can't log into cPanel or ftp on that account.

Please check this for me:

My user name is: netrc
My domain is: www.mtpleasantrc.com
My x10 domain is: netrc.x10Hosting.com

The site isn't new, I have been working on it for about a month now. I really don't want to loose the work I have put into it.

Please help if possible,

Thanks,
Rob

I have to ask. The name you have set for your domain name. Is it a paid domain? make sure the name servers are pointing to x10hostins name servers.

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Also the account in question is not the correct account for the linked account you have showing.

It is a paid domain, registered through Godaddy. It is pointed to x10's nameservers ever since I started building the site and everything has been working up until a yesterday.

The account I linked to, netrc.x10Hosting.com I'm referring to. The forum username I have associated with "netrc" does not have permissions to post into the forums, so I am using "digitalapexes" forum username.

I don't care about my "digitalapex" account - it's just an account I test new scripts on, so ban it if needed. The "netrc" account I really don't want to loose.

Again, thanks for the help and I'm sorry for the problems.
