Have to add /www or /public

I can't get to my web site unless i add /www or /public to the address.

Files seem to be in the right folders but this is my first time at this.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

What is the folder you are uploading the files to?

They are in home/mnoutsid and public_html and www.
Should I delete them from everywhere but public_html?
Also, when I do get to my page i get a message saying
"No products matching your query have been found in
our store. Please bookmark this page and come back
soon to see if we have what you want." instead of a
list of ebay products. Any idea why?

The files that are in the www folder are the same exact as the public_html that is how your site is viewed by using the files from the www folder. so when you upload to the public_html folder it created a mirrored version of your public_html folder.

I am not sure why your items are not showing. That would be a database issue possibly?
