Having a hard time uninstalling items using fantastico

I'm trying to uninstall gallery2 because the recent PHP change has made my gallery impossible to access. But when I'm using fantastico to automatically remove it, it's not working.

Is there anything I can fix this? Or do I have to remove it manually? (i.e., deleting the database manually and the files manually)

I'm getting this error

Fantastico has always been a bit buggy, you might have to remove it yourself. If you do be sure to remove the folder from the fantastico folder in the root of your site(before the public_html folder)

how do I go about deleting the database for gallery? Do I just delete it from the database using myphpadmin?
