Please login into your account management panel and change the domain name there to the new domain. This should solve this issue.

Chris explained what you need to do. You are logging in and trying it from Cpanel, you need to login to your AMP ( Account Management Panel : http://www.x10hosting.com/account - with your FORUM name and password ) and change it there.

You don't want it as a sub-domain ( it wouldn't work anyway ) Sub-domains are like forums.x10hosting.com.

Try doing what was written by Chris and myself.
