Just posting here to say hello to the community.

Cat3D Simulations is a new X-Plane flight simulation addon-aircraft developer (much like PMDG or Carenado).

For anyone here who uses X-Plane, a member of our team has done work for QPAC's A320 freeware. We have a CRJ-700 that has been in the works for over a year now, as well as a few other unannounced projects in our queue.

We picked x10 hosting because we are all students and a free host with unlimited bandwidth, space, and the ability to use a top-level domain (www.cat3dsim.com) is exactly what we needed. Setup has been pain-free, and everything has been working nicely for us so far. We intend to purchase premium hosting once we start selling.

Just a few questions about the TOS, if anyone could clarify:

Regarding the "No Scripts" rule, would a php-driven forum directly related to our website break the rules? I've read some older reviews of x10 where some people had said hosting a forum resulted in suspension.

We will be using PayPal to sell our products, and will have some php code to automatically e-mail them to customers. Would something like this be an issue?

Lastly, during a project we create lots of promotional/informational imagery to show off our progress in X-Plane related forums. I see a 1GB limitation for images/video, but what's the limit on hotlinking?

Thank you.

Hello, the no script rule is in place to cover pieces of code designed to be ran continuously, and with no clear and direct link to the hosted website. Having a forum will never result in a "script hosting" suspension. It can however lead to a High Resources Usage suspension if not properly configured. The code to email customer is fine, as long as you don't use a banned product. These products were banned due to trends we witnessed where these products were used mainly for spam. Email scripts included in e-commerce software usually does not pose problem. Finally, there is no limit on hotlinking, as these images are not hosted on our servers, but make sure that the people hosting the images are okay with it, as most hosters consider hotlinking stealing bandwidth.

Welcome to x10Hosting, Nick!
I have X-Plane 9 for my MacBook Pro and love it. So much better than Flight Simulator, in my opinion. :) I'll be sure to check out your aircraft.
