Hello - noobie URL issue!!! Can you see my site?

Hello,

Noobie here!!

Bit of background - using a Mac with Fetch FTP to upload my "website"

I've uploaded to
ftp.daproductions.x10hosting.com

into the root directory.

There's an index.htm

So when I point Firefox to

http://daproductions.x10hosting.com/index.htm

I keep getting a 404 error.....

It's probably something stupidly simple, but I can't see what it is....

Any suggestions?

you want to upload it under public_html

The way you described, you uploaded it to your document root, not your web root. Delete the file index.html or index.htm in the public_html/ directory, and upload your site there.

SO, to confirm then.

Point Fetch to -

ftp.daproductions.x10hosting.com/public_html/

Upload to here and delete the index.html

Sorry to sound thick - I can't try it at work (they've firewalled the the FTP!)

Will try when I get home and keep you posted.
