I registered for a domain on this site just to practice and mess around in coding (PHP, MySQL, HTML). As of this post, I am a Computer Science student going into his second year in August.

It's refreshing to see an active, friendly community like this. Also, thank you for the free, no-advertisement hosting; Freewebs was kind of gross.

Welcome to the fold. Feel free to inject both sense and nonsense into the mix as you deem appropriate; there's always a shortage of both.

I'm not usually big on the "introductions" forum — my own original posting here was pretty pointless — but it seemed kind of unfriendly to leave your hello unanswered, particularly as you've mentioned the "active, friendly community" (of which not the slightest trace could be seen in this thread). I hadn't noticed that our usual greeters all seem to have taken their vacations and sabbaticals at the same time (they're all, or at least mostly, long-timers in the forum, and I've been able to count on unread indicators here meaning only that I hadn't read things yet). There's usually a much quicker and more enthusiastic response than this.
