We had lotus and cossacks moved to fris and from what I see there are still issues with some of those folks. Now absolut is being migrated to fris? Is this some new super server? I thought that was one of the reasons the old servers had so many issues was the user load. I'm just trying to grasp how this one server will function over time.

There are issues on fris, because maintainance is going on.Most people have issues with mysql and domain name parking.

New server new technology, may be it is capable to handle more than its old brothers.Let's wait and watch.

It is not "maintenance" The stuff did not work in the first place. The 4 day old status report uses the term "troubleshoot", which means bugs, errors, etc.

And the question is: if you have problems with Fris, but not with Absolut, why move the accounts over now? Why not fix the problems, and then move the accounts?

According to status reports Cossacks and absolute had issues with performance. So they created fris and everybody on these severes were notified that this is going to happen. If there accounts moved before proper troubleshooting, then I think this is what we call difference between free hosting and paid hosting.(The QoS), which is much better here.

Cossacks did have problems. So I understand that the move there might have been made sooner than they planned. Where did you see anything about Absolut? There was no warning to Lotus or Absolut users that I can see. They were just packed up and moved and many cannot access cPanel and/or have their addon/parked domains in DNS limbo.

To move accounts into a "burning building" doesn't seem the way to do things. Paid or free.

I agree that accounts were moved to burning building. There are too much free hosting support requests from these users, But sometimes things don't go as you planned.
Sorry I was wrong about absolute. On june 8, 10, 12 there are status messages about lotus and cossacks and warning was only about backing up data, which everyone should do.
