Hi. I need some help on pointing my domain to a new basic (free) account on x10Hosting.
I have created the free accont xxxxx.x10host.com. Then, I try to add a separate domain with my own domain.
When I do that, I receive following message:
My domain server does not allow to modify nameservers, so I try the second option, although I am not sure if I am doing it right. I'll tell you what I do:
I find my domain server nameservers and their IPs. Then, I create a text file named ips.remotedns which only contains those IPs. I upload that file (ips.remotedns) to the 'etc' folder in my x10 account.
Later, I modify the A-DNS in my domain server to point to my x10 account IP.
However, it does not work. I still get the same error message "unable to add the domain name". Help!

Unable to add the domain name − Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.
