rc means Release Candidate which means that it is not production quality.

Softaculous and Fantastico offer the latest stable release, 1.11.1

If you want bleeding edge, you have to install it yourself.

Yes, its used by most forums because the 2.0 version has been available for public download for 2.5 years already.

However, its still considered a Release Candidate and not the final version, so auto installers like Sofaculous and Fantastico do not offer it yet and probably won't until the final release.

Nope. No problem uploading it manually.

In cPanel, go to File Manager. Upload the zip file to the public_html folder.

Then extract the zip archive using the Extract button at the top.

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING IN A SUBDOMAIN OR SUBDIRECTORY:
Rename the folder that the files extracted into the folder name you want like forums.

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING IN SITE ROOT:
Browse into the folder that the extracted files ended up in.

Select all the files, and move it into the public_html directory root.

We cannot install scripts for you. I suggest that you attempt to gain access to a computer and then follow the suggestions made by Techairlines.
