Most scripts (wordpress, joomla, drupal, etc) have an option to add table prefixes, ie wp_ or joom_ or blog1_ which means you can have one site using the foobar_wp database for WordPress with a prefix of wpme_ and another site using the same database for WordPress with table prefix wpyou_ .

Or you can use the same database for both WordPress and MyBB.

A little more effort to set up, but two databases can serve a lot of scripts.
