Is it possible to install Elgg on my website? Whenever I try to, I get the following error:

Not Found

The requested URL /home/jrs/public_html/members/engine/handlers/action_handler.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If anybody has Elgg installed on their site, can you please help me?

Might i ask why the path includes the cpanel for jrs, which is not the one attached to this forum username?

additionally, check that the file exists.

Check your .htaccess file

Make sure in the mod_rewrite area you have

RewriteBase /

(or /foo/ , if you installed it in public_html/foo ).

Due to the path you've given belonging to another account and user, there's nothing else that can be done. Either log into the forum account belonging to that hosting account in order to ask for more support, or have whoever the hosting account belongs to ask for help.
