Help with MySQL

Hello,
I don't seem to be able to access my MySQL databases. I have set them up for remote access and even when I try to use it within the pages on my site I can't seem to connect. I am trying to connect but using the following settings.
MySQL Sever: http://MYSITE.pcriot.com
Username: username_database-username.
Password: ******

I have a feeling I have used the wrong url to connect if anyone can help email me at michaelanderson102@gmail.com

MySQL server should be localhost

You can only access your databases from the scripts on your account, not externally.
