I am trying to use my own domain (www.optimal-email.co.uk) as an addon domain for my x10 account/url but I'm getting this error:

"Unable to add the domain name − Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver."

I have already set the Nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com, but still not working.

It can take up to 48 hours to update nameservers apparently, took about 12 hours for my dot.tk domain nameservers to properly update so I could park the domain.

for domain [ optimal-email.co.uk ] - I 'see' the nameservers as...
ns74.domaincontrol.com
ns73.domaincontrol.com
ns2.x10hosting.com
ns1.x10hosting.com

you need to use ONLY the x10hosting's nameservers

  1. Log into your GoDaddy account.
  2. At the top of the page, hover over the Hi, Customer (your name) drop-down menu and click Visit My Account.
  3. In the Products tab, next to Domains click the + (plus) icon.
  4. Click Launch next to the domain you wish to manage.
Edit: If you have not bought your domain from GoDaddy then ignore my message. BTW, I can see that your domain is using x10hosting's nameservers.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Called GoDaddy & they sorted it.
