My name is Joe, and I'm big into fishing and hunting. I joined x10hosting to host a phpBB3 fishing forum for folks in Upstate NY who also enjoy the great outdoors. It's a hobby, so I wanted a free host.

I tried multiple free hosting sites, and finally landed here at x10hosting because you guys have everything I needed in place to be up and running within an hour.

This forum rocks! This seems to be a really great community, and that was the final deciding factor for me to go with x10hosting.

One of the very first things I did was to subscribe to the service alerts forum. If there is going to be a planned outage, I want to let my users know ahead of time. If there is an unplanned outage, I'll be able to inform them what happened after-the-fact, so that they feel like they're being kept "in-the-loop".

When Corey bumped the inactivity timer from 2 weeks to a month, that pretty much made it a no-brainer to keep my site out of trouble. I was concerned about vacations that happened to fall during "week 2" and got my site deactivated. Now with the timer at a month, I'm all set. I've found this community to be interesting and some topics to be entertaining as well, so I try to stop in at least once or more each week.
