My advice is to take baby steps befor halling your personal website anywhere make sure you fully test the waters before you go jumping straight in...

X10 hosting seems kind of okay though check out what options they have enabled by writting a simple phpinfo file and executing it

save it as myserverinfo.php (or whatever) and run from the address bar in browser to see complete server environment/Apache and PHP/Etc
