Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a team website, but I aint really sure where to start. I have pretty basic html knowledge and I wondered what to use or how to edit the webpage(s).

If someone can help me with this I should scrape by with my little knowledge.

If you only have basic HTML knowledge, and want a decent, dynamic website then i'd recommend a CMS.

If you're happy with a fairly basic site with a few dynamic things, then code away in notepad or something and get free stuff like poll widgets (or learn PHP).

Also i'd recommend getting an FTP Client like FileZilla because cPanels file manager is *insert profanity of choice*

actually I find cpanel file manager to be very nice (as long as you don't wanna upload a lot file at the same time)

I've used the file editing option a few time already and that is just great, don't need to keep dling/uling files just to make small changes :)

But a nice ftp client is a good help when you wanna add a number of files at the same time.

For a team website a nice guest book could be good so visitors can give imput.
Perhaps a forum if you want to allow discussions within the team as well as if you want to be able to interact in discussions with the viewers of the site.

All depends on what kind of team it is I guess. If its a WoW (or similar) team/clan you might not want outsiders to see all secrets :)

I would be glad to help, I got basic php knowledge, as in I can understand and make small modifications to existing code, pretty used to installing various free php apps (forum, blog, gallery) I also have good html knowledge (took a small course at uni).
I am very bad at designs and graphics though :)
