I'mma stick with hcse26 on this one. You are talking about your tutorial and not your files so you could have at least did a little editing before you posted your tut.

So they don't download your stuff that you don't want other to download or find out your folders or to stop hackers from finding ways through your files.

It might stop script kiddies, but that's about it. Security through only obscurity never works. The facts are: to be viewable in a browser, a resource needs a URL; if it has a URL, it's accessible. That's the whole point of URLs.
