Hi

I wonder if you can help. I've been using x10 to run a Joomla install and everything has been working fine. However, when I try to backup my work I'm suspended for high resource use:happysad: This has happened twice now and I'm wary about attempting another backup.

Hope you can help.

Regards

Hi m2601,

At the moment your site is not suspended. And about backup how you are backing up the site. Using some sort of plugin or something. Then that is causing th high resource usage.

Try to back up the files from filemanager in your cpanel.

Back up the database using the phpmyadmin in cpanel.

1st and 2nd High resource usages can be unsusped yourself from account panel -->http://x10hosting.com/panel.php

For 3rd the staff has to do it for you, Post a thread in free hosting support section then the staff will unsuspend you.

Hi

Many thanks for your reply gsonline.

No, my account is not suspended at the moment - but, if I attempt another backup I'm concerned it will be - and that will be the third time... I take your point about backing up files and database but I'd like to use Joomlapack (a Joomla installation clone utility) because it makes it possible to download the backed up file to my own hard disk and transfer it to wherever I need as a single file and then do a complet restore (including database). Doing a file and database backup would not achieve this in such a simple manner. I have made backups in the past using this plugin so I don't know why its playing up now. I've also been able to FTP all the files to my disk locally but, this doesn't achieve the same thing.

You can archive the files using archive button available in filemanager.

You can archive the sql file selecting gz compression when you select tickmark "save to file" in phpmyadmin.
