Hi,

Limited space makes everything difficult as I am testing a new site with a variety of themes and plugins but the space limitations are making basic tasks like updating a plugin impossible. I appear to run out of space after creating just 5 posts! I am using a big theme at the moment but I can't change to a different theme without uninstalling the current theme.

I've read the sticky post and I believe I comply with the following....
  • You need to be using at least 50% of your disk space; (100% apparently)
  • Your account needs to be in good standing (no current suspension); (good)
  • You need to have a valid website that follows our Terms of Service; and, (OK)
  • Your account needs to be at least 7 days old. (2+ weeks)

So what happens next?

Hi timmaste,

The majority of your space is currently being taken by backups by "wpclone". Considering these files are in your temporary directory, this is not the best place to store them. Do you still need these? :)

Thank you,

How are these backups being generated? Is this an automatic backup?
In short no I don't need these backups as I would create my own backup routine when the site is ready to go live (a long long way off!!)

Hi,

I removed the backups, and your account is now using 71MB. They were created in February, so this may have been caused by an old WordPress plugin. :)

Thank you,
