I just got an email saying my account has been terminated, and I cannot log into cPanel or view my website, and my forum account acts as if it is not linked to any other accounts.

What surprises me about this is that my site and cPanel were working yesterday; if I had been "inactive" wouldn't my account have been suspended first? Or was my account terminated for a different reason? Or was this caused by server troubles?

My website is http://www.michaelriccardi.com/ and my cPanel username is mariomik and I am on the Chopin server.

Thank you for any help or information you can provide regarding my hosting account's status.

Forgive us, we are having some issues right now.

Were you suspended in the past for any reason that you can remember. We are trying to collect as much information on these terminations as we can.

More than one year ago I was suspended for inactivity and unsuspended myself without any problems.

Also, when I was moved from Lotus to Fris I was suspended for the reason "user transferred to another server," (June 11) and that suspension actually stayed for a while. But I could still access my cPanel account and website on Fris. Then when I was moved to Chopin, I had to manually request a restore because my account appeared to be suspended and the suspension was cleared.

As I searched through the forums looking for similar problems, I saw people saying that the accounts suspended for servers moves were not all totally unsuspended in the system so they were later terminated.

I do have all of my files on a local backup and the only thing I have lost now is my database, but it contains information that I do have other records of.
So unless I've forgotten some other key piece of data, I have everything I need and would not need to attempt to retrieve any data from my terminated account. (if that would even be possible)

Therefore, would the quickest fix be to simply create a new account? Because unless I've totally forgotten something, I would be able to restore my entire website in about an hour. I'd prefer just to create a new account rather than waiting a while to see if my old one could be restored in any way.

I have been told there are no backups of files or databases for the terminated accounts.

It would be best to just create a new account.

Thank you for your help. I'll just create a new account and restore my backups.
