How can I install Ghost blog?

Hi, I want to know how I could install Ghost on my blog. It isn't available in Softaculous and Softaculous Remote just errors out when I try to install. Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

Sorry, but we can't support Node.js on free hosting. Ghost requires Node.js, so it can't be installed on our shared plans. Alternatively, you could use some different software (such as WordPress), or use a VPS package to host Ghost.

Wow me, why did I switch to x10? My previous host allowed Ghost!
Wait. Who said I needed a blog? I'll put a blog on my other site that's on a VPS! Yay! But x10 is still great!

OK, sorry for that above . Would Premium hosting allow for Node.JS hosting? If it doesn't, then that's fine with me, I have an unused VPS right now. Also, like I said above, I really don't need 2 blogs.

But thanks for the ultra fast response that was SO much faster than my other hosts!

No, Premium won't support node.js (or Ruby, in case you were wondering). You would need a VPS (and you usually get a turn-key instance with hosts that do provision node.js). The problem is that your environment needs to run continuously just to listen for requests, and that really can't happen on a shared server except in a virtual machine.
