The easiest way to transfer from x10Hosting to another server hosting company is to log into FTP, download all of your files via FTP, and then use phpMyAdmin to download a non-compressed version of your MySQL databases, and then also take note of what settings you used for your site. From there you can upload the files via FTP to your new host, upload the new database file to their server (via copy/paste or direct file upload) and apply the settings. Sure, it's a bit more work than doing a full account backup, but it keeps hassles regarding the full move away. For your domain, just park the new domain in your new host's servers and point the domain names to use the name servers of your new host (and then hope that the DNS doesn't take any more than 2 hours to propogate. 2 days max of DNS propagation these days is very, very lame when DNS updates come to me within seconds for both my home's DNS cache and my domain's DNS records).
It is a bit of work, but it does ensure that if you can do these, you'll have no problems getting up and running. And of course, if you have any scripts or files that are path based, be sure to update those as well according to your new host's settings, and then of course once things are good to go, delete your x10Hosting account by asking a Staff member to delete it.
