How do I register for a parked domain?

You buy one from somewhere like godaddy, or ukreg or whoever you decide to go with, and then set the name servers to the x10 ones, and add it to your account as "parked"

why can't we have them for free? its easier =/ always have to pay for things nowadays.

If you google free domains you will find various sites which claim to offer free domains.
