I personally think Firefox is the best browser I have ever used! Much better security and a lot of good extensions! How many of you agree with me? Or disagree?

For those who really really dont know what firefox is... http://www.getfirefox.com

it's ok, it was good when it was in v1, but it basically is crap now due to the memory leak problems. Flock builds off it and I'd recommend that instead of just using Firefox, but Opera is best.

I love my firefox, especially with all the extensions I use. It's great for webdesign.

As long as you don't leave it on for a day, it's fine.

Ok firefox is alright its great for having cool extensions but when l want to view pages with alot of images l use Opera as it loads images so much faster then firefox. I would use Opera insted of firefox but l love the web develpoer extension for firefox.

"How good is FireFox?" is kind of a rhetorical question ;).

I personally can't stand it -- too bulky, crappy transfers window, lack of built-in features, etc.. I prefer Opera, which can be customized without downloaded extensions, loads much faster on my machine, and has built-in IRC chat and POP mail clients.

Well, let me base it on this:

1) Popularity. Was the first thing I found when I was searching for another browser besides MyIE2 (who knows what version it's on now, but anything with IE in it was a bad choice for me).

2) Vs. IE. I only bring this up cause if all you're looking for is something not a tenth as bad as IE, firefox takes the cake.

Personally i'm gunna take the same stance as my choice of bittorrent clients here when it comes to trying to tell other people what to use: Find something that works for you, and stick with it.

It just happens that Firefox does, indeed, work for a great many people I talk to. Handy that :)

I use both IE and Firefox. Yes, Firefox is better than IE in a lot of ways, but there are still some things I prefer IE for.

I would use Opera, except it has what I call the "Opera Touch": something that drives me away from it. It's like a disease with no cure. Maybe it's because of the fact Opera has feature creep. I don't want a BitTorrent client, nor do I want a bunch of crappy widgets that I will never use. My list of browsers (most favourite one first):

  1. Firefox
  2. Konqueror/Safari
  3. Opera

Hey, remember the Mozilla suite? It had IRC chat and POP mail as well. It also had a default theme that I hated.
