how long deos update of a domail take effect?

i have change my doing name to my domain @ .tk but for days now if i enter the address nothing appear. even when i install joomla site.
first: illusionstudios.pcriot.com
now: illusionstudios.tk

the first one was working perfectly but since i decided to use my on domain nothing appears on my page.
