How long does it take for password change to take effect?

Hi I just changed my account password from :http://www.x10hosting.com/account

I saw the message that my password has changed to "newpassword".

After that I tried to login again to http://www.x10hosting.com/account but it accepts only the oldpassword.

Cpanel does not accept old & new pass and I can't log with my main FTP too.

Is this a problem or I just need to wait? And how long does it take for password change to take effect?

The password change should be immediate.

Please try again, if it doesnt work - please PM me with the cpanel name and the password you'd like as your new one, and I'll change it for you.

I changed my password again to my old one and after 3 tries it worked.
I'm now using my old password again..

I was trying to put a secured password (with characters & and %)
Do you think that had something to do with it?

I would suggest avoiding &, stick to numbers, letters and .,[]()
