so, I'm new & looking for help.

there seems to be quite a few user names and passwords to set up at different places for different uses... the forum, cPanel, sitebuilder... that I got very confused. Obviously, I was able to fix my password for the forums, b/c here I am.

Now, I would love to start building my website, but I can't get into cPanel. I thought maybe I messed up my password, so I signed on to x10hosting.com and went to Account Panel and changed my cPanel password. At the bottom of the page it says:
" Pending password change requests will be shown below. Do not attempt to use the new password until your request is complete."

How long should this take?

I'm having the EXACT same problem I can get to cPanel but can not login it says login failed at first I thought maybe I made a mistake when I entered my password so I reset it, went to my e-mail, confirmed, got the new password and I STILL can not login... what the heck???

Well, I got in today! I never did get an email telling me that my password was reset. It just worked.

Now, if I can only figure out where my files "live" so that I can link my images in my index.html script.

all your files should be in the public_html directory.

This should equate to yoursite.com/file
