IMO, adfree pages are decidedly the best, one banner per site is acceptable, pop-ups dont bother me because of my uber-blocker. :biggrin:
What really makes me angry is the "fake popups", a kind of layer over the rest of the site looking like a window with normal close button and often yes/no button. The problem isnt recognizing it, you can do it in about 10msec, but no matter what button you click, it takes you away from the page anyways.
I don't mind what kind of content is advertised, as long as it doesnt go too far.
Edit: I should probably also use this opportunity to tell you all how much I hate another type of ads: the kind where about 80% of all the text on a page turns into rollover-links which pop up small bubbles of text. It's extra loading time, added frustration, and a whopping lot of fugliness all in one package.
