How many posts have I 'really' made?

So, after a dozen or more posts to assorted forum threads here, I see I have posted 3 times. Odd, this doesn't seem to gibe with the number I recall posting.

Any advise on an "Actual Count"?

I'm not sure of the exact details of it all, but posts to certain section(s) don't count in your total posts displayed, For example, the Games section doesn't seem to count, though your credits do still go up each time you post there.

Anyone else know more details of other sections which don't add to your posts (eg. Off-Topic?), & what credits you get in each section?

So, the number of posts does not increase, but the credits do. Now, since I see we aren't on the credit system for ther free hosting anymore, what are the credits for? Yes, I'm a NooB to this site, and my searches have been less than fruitful, so I have to re-ask questions that may have been asked before.

So, no credit for "useless posts"?
and what use are the "credits"?
