How to backup my WordPress site?

Hi,
I was wondering how you backup a WordPres site?
I really would hate to lose everything that I have done.
If anyone could give me advice about it that would be great.

But just out of curiosity where are the posts stored?

They are stored in the MYSQL database.I suggest you use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/ that plugin backs up your database and sends it in an email.
