how to I insure that my website is being uploaded to public_html?

I have tried uploading my website and it always ends up with weird urls with a lot of extensions. How do I upload into the public_html folder without the strange urls?

Login to Cpanel then goto File Manager.From there you can access all your folder

When I put it into the public_html folder, the same problem persists. Can you take me through the process step by step? I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Are you using the file manager or FTP?
