Hi Rick,

If you are installing Joomla manually, rather than using the Softaculous installer, you can install Joomla by uploading the Joomla files to the "public_html" folder.

Although you don't have to remove them as they will not interfere with Joomla in any way, deleting them will not do any harm

Hi,
In can't install Joomla 3.1 unless Magic Quotes GPC is turned off. PHPinfo indicates it's turned on. Is there a setting in .htaccess?

Hi,
Don't know if this worked but put "php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off" in .htaccess. Don't get Joomla error now.
