How to remove index from my mainpage

Hi,
I registered a website http://dogcarecentre.x10hosting.com which was a successful.
I also tried uploading some of my wepages for a test.I am able to see my home page on the below URL,

http://dogcarecentre.x10hosting.com/mainpage.html

However i want that that my mainpage contents should be available on http://dogcarecentre.x10hosting.com itself and i do not get index of /....on my start page.

What do i need to do get this.

Rename mainpage.html to index.html
