Hello,
I have a hosting account at a free hosting called OneSite, and I would like to migrate to x10hosting. My website is a WordPress site.
How can I do this? I have my domain registered in Godaddy

  1. Download files from OneSite
  2. Export database from OneSite
  3. Upload files to x10
  4. Create database and database user at x10
  5. Import database to new database at x10
  6. Update wp-config.php with new database info
  7. Add domain in cPanel and as Addon Domain
  8. Change name-servers for domain at GoDaddy to NS1.X10HOSTING.COM and NS2.X10HOSTING.COM

Hi there,
Thanks a lot! :)
I am downloading the backup from cPanel, which is fine.
Does x10hosting use cPanel too? I am most familiar with the export/import tool from cPanel

x10 uses cPanel but does not have an import tool. You will need use FTP and/or FileManager for your files and phpMyAdmin to import your database.

My website was made with OneSite's website builder.
If I import this backup and export it, all on FTP, will it still work on x10hosting?
Otherwise, does x10hosting offer a website builder? I could perhaps rebuild a new website from scratch if it can't be imported

cPanel provided by x10 has 1 page Site Publisher and a tool call SiteBuilder that appears to be for multiple pages (I could be wrong). I did not see any import/export options (again, could be wrong). Depending on how the site was coded, it may work without modification if you just upload the export via FTP.
