Hi,

I'm rather new to setting up web sites.

I would like to use my own domain name instead of shutterlance.exofire.net.

What must I do in cPanel?

I've already set the Name Servers as n1.x10hosting.com and n2.x10hosting.com.

Thanks!

You can add it as an addon domain in cPanel or set it as you default domain on the AMP.

hi i've just changed it using the AMP

just wondering if the change is immediate or do i have to wait for some time

because i tried visiting my own domain address but it can't access... keeps getting can't display webpage...

however the previous domain shutterlance.exofire.net is working still though

tks!

It can take up to 24 hours for the nameserver change to take effect.

hi tks!

another newbie 2 questions...

1. once the change has taken place, am i right to say that in cPanel left column, i should see under "Stats" the main domain name should reflect my own domain name?

2. when that happens, do i need to create a sub-folder in /public_html with my own domain name to put all my webs site files in there or just place it in the folder /public_html

tks a million for the great support!

As for the first question, the main domain will most likely reflect your cPanel username. And you need to put all your files in the public_html folder itself. There will be no need to create a seperate folder.
