I have uploaded a file, called "index.html" to my site (kryogenic.org), but it is only shown if the user types "kryogenic.org/index.html". Typing the raw url (kryogenic.org) produces a server error.

It worked again for a few minutes, and reverted.
My whole site, and all my other .htaccess settings work properly (even other indexes), it's just the Directory index for the home page doesn't work.
It may have something to do with the name of my homepage: "home.php".
The error I encounter is a redirect to this page: http://staff.x10hosting.com/default.web.page/
