I broke My .htaccess file

Basicly i was trying to add a few lines to the .htaccess, i added them but for somereason the file was blank, i uploaded back into the public_html folder went to go om my site and well see for yourself....

ive now deleted the .htaccess file and it still continues.....

My defult homepage is /index.html

ive tryed 'DirectoryIndex index.html' but that didnt work.

What's the issue? Loads fine here.

I'll bet $0.00 on it being a caching issue; try clearing the cache on your browser and see if it starts displaying your site again. I'm thinking your browser doesn't realize the page has changed so it's showing the cached one.
