I cannot link my account

When logging in on the main site, it asks me to enter my hosting account name to link my account to, but when I do so it returns an error as to that the account does not exist.
I have tried clicking the confirmation link again, but this one just returns:
An account already exists in the signup queue with the username specified.

when trying to sign up again, it just says that I alreadye have an account and I should use that one.

What do I do so I can start using my account properly?

Did you sign up for Ad Free or Ad Enhanced?

Ad Enhanced sign ups are currently disabled, We are doing maintenance on the server.

oh, that would explain a lot. tough will the account I signed up for become available soon, or will I need to reapply(and when?)?
