Is your domain registered through a registrar? If so, you either need to add DNS records through the registrar or change the nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

I created the new domain through x10hosting.

the first one I have made was made through x10hosting. do I need to use an x10 subdomain?

You would need to use an x10 subdomain unless you register your own domain through a registrar.

Currently the free subdomains allowed for free hosting are as follows:

.x10.bz
.x10.mx
.elementfx.com
