I cant log onto the FTP server using my usual FTP details

As the title says I cant log onto the FTP server. I have all my settings saved in a favourite file. So none of my details on the ftp client have changed but I am getting the error message "Login authentication failed" everytime I try to connect.

I have also tried re-typing in my details manually but the same error?

Could it be that my username or password has been changed by x10hosting ????

You are on new server, so if your "details" include using the server name as the host, you will have a problem.

Also, the move messed up a lot of passwords. Resetting your cPanel password through your Account Panel might help.

I had the same problem. It looks like in the move my username had been changed from 'belltown@belltown.x10hosting.com' to just 'belltown' (without the @ sign or anything else after the username), even though the cPanel documentation says to use 'belltown@belltown.x10hosting.com'.

So try changing your username to remove the @ sign and anything following it.
