Signed up few days ago and cannot login to cpanel - it was working ok yesterday but today it's not!

Username: mghadir
Password: xparis
Domain: faerosestudios.x10hosting.com
Hosting Package: Adfree
E-mail: faerosestudios@ntlworld.com

Also I want to use my own Domain, faerosestudios.co.uk, which I have purchased from telvio.com but don't know how to do this. When I try to point the nameserver it asks for two nameservers and Ip addresses. What would these be? As It does not show in my account with x10.

Are you able to sign into cPanel from http://67.228.161.42:2082/ ?

The x10Hosting nameservers are ns1.x10hosting.com & ns2.x10hosting.com. You'll also need to create a new add-on or parked domain in your cPanel to reflect the details of the domain.

Hi, I did as you instructed with my own domain - do I also change it within my x10hosting account?

Also, I have published my web with Frontpage 2002 and it has loaded ok to cpanel. However I am unable to access my own website when I type my own web address in explorer - it says ERROR 404, this page does not exist.

Is there anything else I should be doing to get me website up and working?

Thank you.

Can you see your own files via FTP?

when I go to cpanel I can see all my files when I click on the 'home' icon in the file manager. The destination I published to through frontpage was ftp://faerosestudios.x10hosting.com as frontpage stated that x10hosting does not have frontpage extensions installed to publish by http. However I went to cpanel and saw the there is frontpage there and installed the extensions to faerosestudios.x10hosting.com. When I try to install extensions on faerosestudios.co.uk (my own domain) it will not allow me to.

Am I making sense here?! I'm so new to this and dont quite know what i'm doing - I've tought myself to use frontpage and now I'm trying to get the hang of this hosting business!

Edit:
sorry I just went to cpanel and saw that the extensions were not installed - when I tried to, it keeps saying that 'home/mghadir/public_html does not exist or is not a directory!'

Edit:
oh POOP! I have deleted EVERYTHING in my File Manager. I can publish again through Frontpage but I Think that you need to recreate some files? Once you have done this I will attempt to install frontpage extensions again as I think this is why it wasnt working before when I tried to install it. I will then publish through frontpage again and hopefully it will work ok!

Once I have done this, is there anything else that I need to do to get my website up and running? I have already added on my own domain and pointed to your nameservers.

I re-created your public_html folder. you can now upload files again.

You should not have to do anything to make the site work as long as you put all the files into the public_html folder.

Thanks Corey.

I am just trying to publish again using frontpage - I installed frontpage extensions on cpanel for faerosestudios.x10hosting.com and it installed ok - do I need to also install for domain faerosestudios.co.uk? As when I try, it says directory does not exist.

After installing extensions to faerosestudios.x10hosting.com, and I try to publish a page that has a form built in it using frontpage, I get a pop up from frontpage saying that the file will not be working properly as the server I am publishing to has not got frontpage extensions installed. Will the form work properly?

Is faerosestudios.co.uk parked or setup as an add-on domain?

If it uploads everything I would think it'd work correctly. I would just try and test to see if it does.

yes faerosestudios.co.uk is set up as an add-on domain. I will try and see what happens! thanks
Edit:
hi I set up faerosestudios.co.uk as a parked domain and was able to install extensions ok - however the page with the form is still not working. The page is called 'mailing.htm'. when i try to submit mailing info using the form on the explorer i get this message:

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

so I am still unable to use the form. how do i correct this please?

The form is working now! Basically I had to publish the page with the form in it through http and not ftp from frontpage and this makes the form to actively work.

Sounds good, I'm going to close this since it's resolved. Feel free to open a new thread if you need further assistance.
