i have paid account - do i have ssh? i just want to grep.

i simply want to grep (look for words within files in a directory so i can easily identify the file which has a certain word), i think i need ssh or something, not sure how to access it or if its enabled on my account, although i think it should be since i pay. i've searched forums and knowledgebase, cant find out how to get into ssh...i see i can generate a key or something from cpanel, but dont know what that means...could you help?
