I need a change to php.ini

I trying to install a CMS software called Elxis. but i need a change to php.ini file.
(date.timezone = "Europe/Athens")
If not i can complete the installation
i get the error message"
"ELXIS WARNING: There is no Timezone indentifier defined!
You must set the proper timezone in php.ini. Example: date.timezone = "Europe/Athens"
Elxis set timezone to UTC"
